Have you reviewed your Medicare Supplement plan recently? Rates are increasing significantly, and if you've been on the same plan for over two years, there's a good chance you could lower your monthly costs by comparing current options.

Did you know that you can change your Medicare Supplement plan at any time? The only requirement is medical approval for the new plan. Fortunately, the approval process is often simpler than you might think, and there's no cost to see if you qualify. I can usually determine your eligibility with just a few quick questions.

However, it's important to be aware that certain health conditions may affect your ability to be approved for a new plan, such as:

* Currently receiving home health care or physical therapy

* Diagnosis of HIV/AIDS

* Dementia, ALS, or other cognitive or immune disorders

* COPD or any chronic pulmonary disorder

* Diabetes requiring insulin or three or more medications

* Organ transplant

* Arthritis that restricts mobility, osteoporosis resulting in fractures, or a recent joint replacement

* Cardiovascular disease (heart attack, stroke, or TIA)

* Renal disease

* Cancer-related treatment within the last three years

* Awaiting any pending test results or upcoming surgery

**Important Consideration:**
If you are currently on a Medicare Supplement Plan G, you might find significant savings by exploring Medicare Supplement Plan N. Plan N offers similar coverage to Plan G but includes copays for some services, which helps keep the monthly premiums lower and historical rate increases smaller.

If cost is a significant concern and a new supplement plan isn't an option at this time, we can discuss Medicare Advantage plans during the next Annual Enrollment Period (October 15th to December 7th). If you'd like to explore this option, please reach out in early October to schedule an appointment.
